GARDUOTO – Pada GIIAS 2022 lalu, PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) membawa dua unit contoh mobil hybrid mereka, yakni Accord e:HEV dan CR-V e:HEV.
Dari dua mobil tersebut, hanya satu yang disiapkan Honda untuk dites, yakni CR-V e:HEV. Hal inipun kami manfaatkan untuk menjajal rasa berkendara dari CR-V hybrid ini.
Jadi di artikel ini, kami akan fokus membahas tentang rasa berkendara serta penjelasan dari sistem e:HEV, yang merupakan teknologi hybrid andalan Honda.
Perbedaan di Luar dan Dalam
Honda CR-V e:HEV yang kami tes berbasiskan dari CR-V Black Edition, yang artinya, eksterior dan interior mobil ini sangat dominan dengan warna hitam.
Dari segi desain, baik di eksterior maupun interior, tidak ada yang berbeda antara CR-V e:HEV dengan yang biasa. Namun, ada beberapa detail yang berbeda.
Di eksterior, perbedaannya hanya terletak pada emblem logonya. Di CR-V hybird ini, terdapat iluminasi warna biru yang mengelilingi emblem logonya, sedangkan pada model biasanya tidak ada.
Di interior, ada lebih banyak detail yang berbeda. Tapi yang paling mencolok adalah model tuas transmisinya yang bermodel tombol yang pengoperasiannya dengan cara ditekan, seperti pada Hyundai Palisade.
Desain instrument cluster Honda CR-V e:HEV ini sebenarnya juga sama seperti model biasanya, tapi yang membedakan adalah susunan informasinya.
Di bagian paling kiri instrument cluster, adalah indikator sisa baterai. Di tengahnya, yang layarnya paling besar, tentu menampilkan speedometer, serta indikator kinerja mesin dan sistem hybrid di atasnya. Tidak ada penunjuk putaran mesin di sini. Sama seperti Honda CR-V biasa, bagian paling kanan instrument cluster CR-V e:HEV menampilkan indikator sisa bensin.
Mesin dan Teknologi e:HEV
Seperti yang kami sebutkan tadi, teknologi e:HEV merupakan sistem hybrid. Artinya, teknologi ini masih mengusung mesin, dan kita tidak perlu melakukan pengecasan untuk mengisi daya baterainya.
Begini penjelasannya. Teknologi e:HEV merupakan sistem hybrid yang memberikan performa dari kecepatan rendah, menengah, hingga maksimal. Teknologi e:HEV adalah sistem dengan tingkat kebebasan dimana kedua motor dan mesin dapat beroperasi secara independen, serta menghasilkan pengalaman berkendara yang efisien di berbagai situasi.
Sistem e:HEV terdiri dari empat komponen utama, yaitu Atkinson Cycle Engine, Electronic CVT (e-CVT), Intelligent Power Unit, dan Power Control Unit. Atkinson Cycle Engine merupakan mesin Direct Injection, 4-cylinders DOHC i-VTEC yang menggunakan bahan bakar bensin. Mesin bensin yang digunakan adalah yang berkapasitas 2.0 L empat silinder naturally aspirated, bukan 1.5 L empat silinder turbo.
Pada sistem e:HEV, mesin ini berfungsi untuk memberikan tenaga kepada motor generator sehingga dapat menghasilkan daya listrik untuk menggerakkan motor drive, memberikan tenaga langsung ke roda saat berkendara di kecepatan tinggi, dan mengisi daya baterai.
Putaran mesin kemudian diteruskan oleh motor generator yang berada di dalam e-CVT untuk menghasilkan daya listrik dengan efisiensi tinggi dan mengisi daya baterai. Sementara motor drive di dalam e-CVT berfungsi menyalurkan putaran ke roda dengan tenaga dan traksi yang tinggi, serta menghasilkan daya listrik saat deselerasi.
Kinerja motor pada E-CVT dikontrol oleh Power Control Unit yang juga sekaligus berfungsi untuk mengontrol kebutuhan listrik antara baterai dan motor. Daya listrik pada sistem e:HEV disimpan dalam Intelligent Power Unit yang menggunakan Lithium Ion Battery berkapasitas tinggi. Unit ini mempunyai kapasitas penyimpanan daya hingga 300V.
Sistem e:HEV mempunyai tiga mode berkendara, yang secara otomatis akan berganti sesuai dengan kondisi pengendaraan dan beban mesin. Dalam kondisi berkendara normal dengan beban mesin rendah, sistem akan menggunakan mode EV dimana hanya baterai yang menggerakan motor sehingga tidak ada bensin yang digunakan.
Saat mobil berakselerasi dengan lebih kuat, sistem akan menggunakan model Hybrid dimana mesin dan baterai bekerja bersamaan untuk menghasilkan keseimbangan antara tenaga dan efisiensi bahan bakar.
Ketika berkendara dalam kecepatan tinggi, sistem akan menggunakan mode Engine Drive, dimana mesin secara penuh akan menggerakkan roda untuk menghasilkan tenaga lebih besar sekaligus mengisi daya baterai secara bersamaan.
Rasa Berkendara
Sewaktu kami menyalakan CR-V e:HEV, sama sekali tidak ada getaran maupun suara mesin. Dengan kata lain, saat dihidupkan, yang menyala adalah motor listriknya. Setelah menyala, kamipun berjalan.
Di kecepatan rendah, yang bekerja hanyalah motor listriknya saja. Tapi jika kita sudah masuk ke kecepatan menengah, barulah sistem hybrid-nya bekerja. Indikator mesin yang menyala bisa dilihat dari adanya pergerakan grafik tenaga di bagian atas instrument cluster.
Kami juga sempat mencoba melakukan kickdown, dan hasilnya, sistem hybrid langsung bekerja. Lalu sewaktu kami melakukan deselerasi, sistemnya langsung melakukan pengisian daya dengan metode regenerative brake.
Untuk masalah pengisian daya baterainya, kami sempat menanyakan hal ini kepada Muhammad Zuhdi, Service Technical & Warranty Senior Manager PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM). Menurutnya, pengecasan baterainya dilakukan saat mesin bekerja.
“Pengisian baterai berasal dari kinerja mesin. Jadi saat mesin bekerja, dia sekaligus mengisi baterai,” kata Muhammad Zuhdi, saat diwawancarai di sela-sela GIIAS 2022 lalu.
Dengan begitu, semakin sering mesinnya bekerja, maka akan semakin banyak pula daya baterai yang dapat terisi. Ini tentunya sangat praktis karena kita hanya perlu bensin yang cukup untuk bisa mengisi baterainya, bukan dengan mencari colokan.
Kesimpulan
Dari first drive yang kami lakukan ini, kami berani menyimpulkan bahwa Honda CR-V e:HEV ini adalah sebuah SUV berteknologi hybrid yang fleksibel dan menyenangkan.
Fleksibel yang kami maksud adalah, daya baterainya bisa terisi hanya dengan pembakaran bensin, dan kinerja hybrid-nya juga cerdas, karena bisa bekerja sesuai dengan porsi dan kebutuhan.
Sementara yang menjadikan mobil ini terasa menyenangkan adalah, karena ia punya sensasi berkendara yang halus, tenaga yang selalu ada, dan tentunya handling yang baik khas sebuah mobil Honda.
