GARDUOTO – All New BR-V yang baru saja dirilis kemarin mengalami ubahan desain yang drastis dari sebelumnya. Tapi dari segi teknis, mobil ini masih mirip dengan pendahulunya.
Honda BR-V generasi kedua memakai mesin 1.5 L DOHC i-VTEC yang telah diperbaharui yang sanggup menghasilkan tenaga 119,3 dk pada 6.600 rpm, dan torsi 145 Nm di 4.300 rpm.
Besaran tenaga dan torsi yang dimiliki All New Honda BR-V tersebut, lebih besar jika dibandingkan dengan Toyota Rush, yang merupakan mobil terpopuler sekaligus terlaris di kelas Low SUV.
Toyota Rush mengandalkan mesin berkode 2NR-VE yang berkapasitas 1.496 cc empat silinder dengan tenaga sebesar 102 dk di 6.000 rpm, dan torsi 139 Nm pada 4.200 rpm.
Selain mempunyai perbedaan angka tenaga dan torsi, All New Honda BR-V dan Toyota Rush memiliki transmisi otomatis dan penggerak yang berbeda. Hal tersebut tentunya berpengaruh terhadap rasa berkendaranya.
Pada All New BR-V, transmisi otomatis yang digunakannya adalah CVT, dan berpenggerak roda depan. Sementara Toyota Rush, masih memakai otomatis konvensional empat percepatan dengan penggerak roda belakang.
Melihat jenis transmisi otomatis yang digunakannya saja, sudah bisa kita tebak bahwa All New Honda BR-V memiliki karakter berkendara yang lebih halus daripada Toyota Rush.
Lantas, penggunaan penggerak roda depan juga bisa membuat konsumsi BBM All New BR-V lebih irit dari Toyota Rush. Karena dengan penggerak roda depan, tidak ada power loss yang terjadi saat penyaluran tenaga dari mesin ke roda.
Singkat kata, dengan hanya melihat data di atas kertas, maka mestinya All New Honda BR-V punya performa yang lebih unggul, serta konsumsi BBM yang lebih hemat daripada Toyota Rush.
Namun untuk membuktikan itu semua, pastinya kita perlu melakukan pengetesan lengkap. Karena bukan tidak mungkin, keduanya mempunyai figur akselerasi dan efisiensi bahan bakar yang tidak jauh berbeda.
Apalagi, pada Toyota Rush GR Sport, kini sudah dilengkapi dengan fitur idling stop yang memungkinkan mesin mati secara otomatis jika mobil idle atau stasioner seperti di lampu merah. Adanya fitur ini tentu mampu membantu Toyota Rush untuk jadi lebih hemat BBM. (GO/Gie)
